The CCS Team

Carl H. Bernat

President

Carl has over two decades of experience in sales, design, project management, and servicing dental offices across Southwestern Ontario.

He has a thirst for innovation and growth; CCS was founded to push this passion even further.

Carl’s approach with CCS is revolutionizing the engineering & construction process, but there is equal attention paid to the incredible people driving this change. CCS is a place where people can grow and find the best versions of themselves. Carl believes the only limitations we have are the ones we put on ourselves – he is dedicated to the personal and professional development of everyone on the CCS team. When you put your people first, success quickly follows. When Carl isn’t at work, he’s soaking up every second he can with his twin daughters and
family.

Scott Summerfield

Vice President

As young as 5 years old, Scott would tag along to construction sites with his dad. After years of watching, listening, and learning, Scott knew construction was his passion and his path forward.

He has been with CCS since day one.

While Scott loves construction, it’s the office culture and team chemistry that makes CCS so incredible to him.

Scott loves tracking a project from beginning to end – the CCS team never fails to impress him. While it’s tough to find time in the day to get everything done, it’s a challenge Scott enjoys.

When Scott isn’t wrangling kids with his wife Nichole, Scott loves to unwind by watching hockey at the bar with friends.

Patrick Daragon

Engineering Department Manager

Inspired by Seinfeld’s George Costanza and his architectural aspirations, Patrick found his calling in engineering. Patrick’s priority at CCS is exceptional communication – each department
works closely with each other and adheres to tight timelines.

In Carl, Patrick finds a mentor, a #1 fan, and a nuisance.

Their dynamic results in exceptional projects and hilarious shenanigans.

Outside the office, you’ll usually find Patrick with his fiancé Missy, and their dog. When he’s not with them, he’s likely on the green, perfecting his swing and spending time with friends.

Kelsey Auger

Design Department Manager

Kelsey’s wide range of schooling and work experience laid the perfect foundation for her role as the Design Department Manager at CCS. She graduated with a BA Honours Degree in Visual Arts and Communication Studies and a High
Honours Diploma in Interior Decorating. From there, Kelsey began flipping houses with her mom and venturing into freelance interior design work.

Kelsey’s favourite part of her role at CCS is the thrill of turning a client’s vision into reality.

This comes hand and hand with her least favourite part of the job – budgets. Kelsey dreams big but expertly edits her designs to suit budgets.

Much of Kelsey’s time away from CCS is spent being a mom, but she likes to make time for oil painting, reading, and spending time with
friends and family.

Jesse Dennis

Construction Supervisor

Jesse carried on a family tradition when he went to Canadore College in North Bay for Plumbing techniques – his grandfather was a plumber which sparked his interest in the trade. After joining the CCS team as a Licensed Plumber, Jesse’s leadership skills were obvious, and he soon moved on to his current role as the Construction Supervisor.

Jesse oversees the success and quality of each construction project.

There is nothing he loves more than seeing a cutting-edge project come to life. When Jesse is away from the office, he’s soaking up every minute he can with his kids Harper and Beckham, and his wife Brogan.

Lana Kelly

Office Administrator

Lana has worked in the construction industry for two decades and has experience across a diverse cross-section of companies. Lana has powerful administrative and multitasking skills – essential tools in a fast-paced environment like CCS.

Though she is often pulled in many directions at once, the creative, fun, and intelligent crew at CCS makes it worth it to Lana.

Outside of work, Lana spends much of her time with her husband and four children. Evenings and weekends are usually spent shuttling the kids to and from sports practice – she wouldn’t have it any other way!
